Lisa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University and is a Certified Economic Developer through the International Economic Development Council. She completed a year-long Fellowship at Merrimack College before obtaining her Master's in Education with a focus on Community Engagement and Government Affairs.
Throughout her career, Lisa has successfully led various local governments and regional economic development teams in enhancing community engagement and executing initiatives to improve outcomes. She has created objective hiring and appointment processes, ensuring that the right individuals are placed in the right roles.
Lisa has also played a pivotal role in establishing grant programs and conducting grant evaluations, with extensive experience in program compliance. In collaboration with several Michigan tribes, she has maximized resources through funding source stacking, enabling effective financing models that combine grants with incentives and low-interest lending, ultimately enhancing program outcomes.
Her diverse background spans public, private, and non-profit sectors. Lisa actively contributes to the community by serving on multiple non-profit boards, including several foundation boards and business membership organizations, and currently serves the Vice-Chair of the 10-county regional planning agency.
Lisa's personal mission is to empower others with strategies that drive growth and efficiency. She believes in continuous education and improvement as well as fostering long-term partnerships that yield sustainable success.
